The Six PAC, a federal PAC that carefully hand-selects six progressive California Democrats to endorse in each election cycle, has endorsed Alex Mohajer for California State Senate in the 37th Senate District.
In a statement released Wednesday, Sean Frame, CEO of the Six PAC, stated:
“We are proud to endorse Alex Mohajer for California State Senate. Alex is a lifelong activist and organizer and the openly gay son of Iranian immigrants working to bring real progressive solutions to California. He worries about the erosion of civil and human rights and the lack of action on climate change. He is fighting to right these wrongs and make good on the American promise for ALL Californians.
“Our divided country and broken politics demand that we rise to the challenges of our time,” the statement continued. “Climate change, reproductive rights, inequality, unaffordable health care, gun violence, and poverty are all solvable with Progressives like Alex in our state legislature. If elected, Alex will be the first openly gay Iranian in the California legislature, and he will fight for reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, climate solutions, and progressive values!”
The Six PAC selects only six candidates to endorse in each election cycle with the goal of expanding the progressive “bench” and creating a more progressive State Legislature that will pass laws that are in sync with the California Democratic Party’s progressive platform.
