Chispa, a political organizing community of young, Latinx organizers and one of the leading Latinx political advocacy groups in Orange County, has endorsed Alex Mohajer for State Senate in the 37th Senate District.
“As a political organizing home for young, Latinxs, Chispa engages with excluded peoples to uproot systems of oppression, and cultivate systems grounded in community accountability, solidarity, and self-determination for our communities to thrive,” said Chispa OC in a statement. “We are proud to endorse Alex Mohajer for State State Senate and to work towards a more just society for all people.”
Chispa joins OC Action, College Democrats of Cal State Fullerton, and Sunrise Movement OC in a growing grassroots movement supporting Mohajer’s campaign.
The new endorsements reflect organizational support from across Orange County, including activists, students, AAPI and Latinx organizers, Democratic clubs, and climate champions. Mohajer’s growing list of endorsements represent undeniable momentum for the grassroots candidate who announced in March that he would be vying for the seat currently held by Senator Dave Min, who is running for Congress. He has now earned support from every corner of the District, from Fullerton, to Irvine, to Laguna Woods.
